How To
Add a New Post (News)
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the Posts Section
On the left-hand sidebar of the dashboard, you’ll see a menu. Hover over or click on the “Posts” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New"
After clicking on “Posts,” you’ll see a submenu. Click on the “Add New” option.
Step 4: Enter Post Title and Content
You’ll be directed to the post editor. Here, you can enter the title of your post in the designated field at the top. Below that, you can add your content using the visual editor. Write your post, add images, format text, and make any other desired adjustments.
Step 5: Add Categories and Tags (Optional)
On the right-hand side of the editor, you’ll find options to add categories and tags to your post. This helps organize your content and makes it easier for visitors to find related posts.
Step 6: Set Featured Image
Below the categories and tags section, you’ll see an option to set a featured image for your post. Click on “Set featured image” and upload/select an image from your media library.
Step 7: Publish Your Post
Once you’re satisfied with your post, click on the “Publish” button located on the right-hand side of the editor. If you’re not ready to publish immediately, you can schedule the post to be published at a later date/time using the “Publish” options.
Step 8: Congratulations!
Your new post is now live on your WordPress website.
*Bonus*: Using Elements (buttons, galleries,etc.)
Here you will learn where all the block elements are for you to use on any document (NOT Pages).
Step 1: Click the Square Plus Button
When on the page editor, there will be a plus button for new entry information. Click on that to open a quick access tab.
Step 2: Click Browse All
Clicking browse all pulls up all elements on the left side of the editor. This is where all of your tools are for you to edit your page with buttons, galleries, code, etc..
Add a New Page
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the Page Section
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Pages” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New"
Once you’ve clicked on “Pages,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New” from this submenu.
Step 4: Enter Page Title and Content
You’ll now be taken to the page editor. Start by entering the title of your new page in the provided field at the top. Below the title, you can add your content using the visual editor. Write your page content, format text, add images, and make any necessary adjustments.
Step 5: Add Page Attributes (Optional)
On the right-hand side of the editor, you’ll find the “Page Attributes” section. Here, you can choose a parent page if your new page is a subpage of an existing page. You can also set the page template if your theme offers different templates.
Step 6: Set Featured Image
Below the page attributes section, you’ll see an option to set a featured image for your page. Click on “Set featured image” and upload/select an image from your media library.
Step 7: Publish Your Page
Once you’re satisfied with your page, click on the “Publish” button located on the right-hand side of the editor. If you’re not ready to publish immediately, you can schedule the page to be published at a later date/time using the “Publish” options.
Step 8: Congratulations!
Your new page is now live on your WordPress website.
Add a New Document, Master Plan & Newsletter (PDF File)
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the Documents, Master Plan or Newsletter Section
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Name” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New"
Once you’ve clicked on “Name,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New” from this submenu.
Step 4: Enter Page Title
You’ll now be taken to the page editor. Start by entering the title of your new page in the provided field at the top. Add your title.

Step 5: Add Form Information
On the bottom of the editor, you’ll find the “Title” section. Here, you can choose a “Name” that will be displayed. Next, you will “Add File” to section below by clicking the button. This will take you to the Media Library. You can select the PDF from the existing files or click the left tab “Upload Files.” Press “Select Files.” Locate your Documents, Master Plan or Newsletter on your computer you would like to display on the website.
Step 6: Publish Your Page
Once you’re satisfied with your page, click on the “Publish” button located on the right-hand side of the editor. If you’re not ready to publish immediately, you can schedule the page to be published at a later date/time using the “Publish” options.

Step 7: Congratulations!
Your new Document, Master Plan or Newsletter is now live on your website.
Add a Tournament/Event
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Events" Tab
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Events” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New Event"
Once you’ve clicked on “Events,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New Event” from this submenu.
Step 4: Enter Page Title
You’ll now be taken to the page editor. Start by entering the title of your new page in the provided field at the top. Add your title.

Step 5: Add Event Information
On the bottom of the editor, you’ll find the “Event Details” field input section. Here, you can choose a “Event Date” that will be displayed. Then add “Event Time”, “Event Price”, “Event Name”, “Event Start Type”, “Event Format”, “Event Holes” and “Event Closure”.
Note: Please Add N/A for answering that don’t fit. No field should be empty.

Step 6: Set Featured Image
On the right side of the block editor, click the “Event” tab to enter the image that will be shown on the card. This will open the media library. Click the “Upload files” tab at the top under the “Feature image” title and upload your desired image. For additional help, refer to the “Add Media” instructions below.
Important Note: Add any Feature Image or Media to the “Media Folder.” Any Images that go to the “Gallery” page goes in the “Media Gallery” folder only. Instructions for this is also below.

Step 7: Add a New Date
On the right side of the block editor, click the “Event” tab to enter the image that will be shown on the card, and use the “Set Featured Image” option. Under the “ADD NEW DATE” title, enter the event’s date. This ensures the event populates on the correct day in the schedule.
Step 8: Add Any Other Info in the Editor
Just like making a post(news) you can add information about the event in the description area as well. Including buttons and images. Follow any steps needed from “Add A New Post.”
Step 9: Congratulations!
Your new Event is now live on your website.
Add to the Gallery
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Media" Section
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Media” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add Media File"
Once you click “Media,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New Media” from the submenu, or click the Add New button near the top of the page.
Important note:
The highlighted (gray) folder with the black box showing the number of media files indicates where your uploads will be placed. Make sure the correct folder is selected before uploading.
Nothing should be uploaded to the Media Gallery unless it is specifically intended for the Gallery page.
Step 4: Adding Images For "Gallery" Page
For proper formatting, all images should be the same size (recommended size: 1439 × 1080 pixels).
The gallery is designed to display three images per column. It looks best when the total number of images fills the layout evenly. For example, 9, 12, 15, 18 or 21 images all work well and help maintain a clean, balanced gallery.
Step 5: Congratulations!
Your new “Gallery” is now live on your website.

Add an Events Rules & Info
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Events Rules" Section
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Event Rules” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New Event Rule"
Once you’ve clicked on “Event Rules,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New Event Rules” from this submenu.
Step 4: Enter Page Title
You’ll now be taken to the page editor. Start by entering the title of your new page in the provided field at the top. Add your title.

Step 5: Add Event Rules Information
Under the event info below the title, click “Type / to choose a block.” This allows you to add text, images, and other information in a text document style format. You can also add elements using the black plus box.
Step 6: Event Rules Inputs
At the bottom of the section titled “Event Rules,” you’ll find two input fields to add the form associated with the event. The “Online Form Link Title” is the title of the button that will appear, and the “Online Form Link” is for the form itself.
Step 7: Publish Your Event Rules & Info
Once you’re satisfied with your page, click on the “Publish” button located on the right-hand side of the editor. If you’re not ready to publish immediately, you can schedule the page to be published at a later date/time using the “Publish” options.

Add Meeting Dates
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: Navigate to the Meeting Dates
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Meeting Dates” option.
Step 3:C lick on "GRWA Meeting Dates"
Once you’ve clicked on “GRWA Meeting Dates,” a submenu will appear with the title “Meeting dates.” If you don’t see these rows with dates in it, click the “Meeting Dates” tab towards the bottom to expand it.
Step 4:Add A Row
You’ll now have the option to either change a date from the existing list with the date picker or “Add Row” to add a new date to the list.

Step 5: Save New Date Changes
Under the event info below the title, click “Type / to choose a block.” This allows you to add text, images, and other information in a text document style format. You can also add elements using the black plus box.

Step 6: Congratulations!
Your new meeting dates are now live on the site!

Add a Form
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard. This is the control center for managing your website.
Step 2: "Forms" Section
On the left-hand side of the dashboard, locate and click on the “Form” option.
Step 3: Click on "Add New Form"
Once you’ve clicked on “Form,” a submenu will appear. Select “Add New Form” from this submenu.
Step 4: Enter Form Title
You’ll now be taken to the page editor. Start by entering the title of your new page in the provided field at the top. Add your title.

Step 5: Add Form Information
On the bottom of the editor, you’ll find the “Form” field input section. Here, you can choose a “Form Title” that will be displayed. Then add “Online Registration Link”, “PDF Button Text 1”, “PDF Download” and “Event Description”.
All of these are common needed entries.

Step 6: Adding "Online Registrion Link"
This is the full link address to the page connected to the rules and form information.
Step 7: Adding Downloadable PDF Form Button
The “PDF Button Text 1” input is the title that will appear, and “PDF Download” is the file that will be live. These two inputs create the PDF download button for the documents.
To add a PDF document, click the “Add File” button, then upload your PDF file in the media library. Review the Add Media section for more information if needed.

Step 7: Congratulations!
Your new form is now live on your website.
Add Media
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
After logging in, you’ll be directed to the WordPress dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to the Media Library
In the WordPress dashboard, navigate to “Media” in the left-hand sidebar. Click on “Media” to access the Media Library.
Step 3: Upload Media
Once in the Media Library, you’ll see an “Add New” button at the top of the page. Click on it to start the upload process. You can either drag and drop files into the upload area or click on the “Select Files” button to browse your computer and select the files you want to upload.
Step 4: Upload Media Files
After selecting the files you want to upload, WordPress will start uploading them to the media folder. You’ll see progress indicators for each file.
Step 5: View Uploaded Media
Once the upload is complete, you’ll see thumbnails of the uploaded media files in the Media Library. You can click on each file to view more details, such as the file name, file type, and dimensions.
Step 6: Use Media in Posts or Pages
Now that your media files are uploaded to the media folder, you can easily insert them into your posts or pages. When editing a post or page, click on the “Add Media” button above the content editor. You can then select the media file you want to insert from the Media Library.
